ABOUT SUN CITY AZ Sun City, dubbed America’s most famous resort-retirement community, was once the ghost town of Marinette. Connected to its sister city, Sun City West, and just 2 miles from the freeway and Interstate system, it is home to just over 42,000 people. Sun City is unincorporated and there are no city taxes, and low sales and property taxes. It offers a low cost of living, excellent medical facilities, and extensive amenities. Law students are quite familiar with the community because the case of Spur Industries vs. Del E. Webb Development Co. features Sun City and is often used in first year property law courses as a nuisance law example.
